NYCMA member publications serve New York City's immigrant populations where English is not the primary language, low-income communities and communities of color. They form part of a network of close to 350 weeklies and bi-monthly publications, including 26 foreign-language dailies. The network represents over 90 ethnic communities; and more than 50 languages. The network services close to 3.5 million NYC residents. Forty percent of the publications are distributed nationally or regionally. Increasingly, through their online sites, publications have an international reach as publishers and editors address their communities in their countries of origin and Diaspora around the world.
