However, this increase doesn't apply to workers who earn tips, whose hourly wage has been $2.13 since 1991.
AUDIO :: The US federal minimum wage went up to $7.25 an hour on July 24, 2009. The increase is welcome news to minimum wage earners, but not all low-wage workers will benefit.
