Exploring the culture of eating

Ten youth spent the summer exploring the culture of eating in a city where some of the most iconic foods are the half-smoke: an extra large sausage split down the middle and usually topped with chili, and something called mambo sauce, which looks like ketchup but more gelatinous. The youth also looked at the challenges of some communities' access to healthy, affordable food in their neighborhood. more>

Latino voters are closely following the healthcare debate but a substantial percentage of the community feel neglected by their representatives. Latinos are clear in their preference for a government insurance plan for those without access to coverage.

Whatever their reasoning, Polish Americans have turned their backs on undocumented immigrants, including their own.
